Begin with the watch dimensions
A layout needs to accommodate more than the case diameter. Consider the crown, strap thickness, clasp and the way each watch rests on its cushion. Measure representative pieces from the collection and confirm the required clearance with a physical sample.
Match capacity to the presentation
A single-position box gives one watch a focused presentation. A multi-position box organizes a collection in one place. Capacity alone does not determine the right design: spacing, handling and the view through a display lid also influence how the finished product feels.
Consider the lid and interior together
A display lid makes the contents visible while a closed lid gives a different presentation experience. Review the relationship between cushion height and lid clearance. Hinges and closure details should support the chosen opening action without interfering with the watches.
Review mixed storage needs
Some projects combine watch positions with a jewelry drawer or additional storage. Specify the intended contents of each area so the layout can be discussed clearly. Do not assume that a compartment suitable for one accessory will fit another.
Confirm the complete sample
Check the product fit, wood finish, lining, closure and packaging as a complete system. A sample review is the opportunity to resolve small practical details before committing to the agreed production specification.
